This 55-hour remote learning real estate agent course, approved by the Maine Real Estate Commission, is a prerequisite to taking the Pearson VUE state licensing exam. Based on the book, Introduction to a Successful Career in Maine Real Estate, by Charles “Kim” Coit, its content includes material that is basic to the practice of real estate in Maine. Have you always wanted to learn how to knit? Here is your chance to learn the basic tools and techniques of knitting in a communal, stress-free and satisfying way! Using a step-by-step process we will all follow together, we will create wonderful winter hats ready to show off. You will choose your own yarn and can tweak the pattern to make it your own. No experience necessary. Bring nothing but yourself to the first class. *Materials fee of $10-$30 is required at the first class session. Price depends on type of yarn chosen.

In this class, we will follow step by step instructions to create three projects to include: an interactive greeting card, a stamped vellum card and a fun post it holder. Precut kits and envelopes are provided. Participants need a pair of scissors and colored pencils or markers. This is an advanced level workshop.

Classes cover sewing basics like the tools you’ll need to get started, threading a needle, sewing by hand, and how to purchase and use a machine as well as how to choose and use a sewing pattern to put together a wardrobe of basic clothing pieces. We’ll make a drawstring bag in class, and a simple piece of clothing. There is a $45 tools and materials fee payable to the instructor on the first night of class (includes fabric and pattern for your bag but not for the clothing piece). *No Class: 4/24.
