Chocolate Lovers Cooking Splurge!

Nothing says dessert quite like chocolate! In this one-night class, we will prepare molten lava cakes, white chocolate macadamia nut cookies and take home a fudge sauce to die for. Bring your sweet tooth, an empty container or two and a friend for a night of sinful decadence. Recipes and generous samples of all things we create will be distributed. Just in time for Valentine's Day! Ingredient fee of $10 included. No discounts.

Clay, Beyond the Wheel Session I

Have you avoided creating with clay because you don't have access to a potter's wheel? This class will take you beyond the wheel to create beautiful hand-built pieces. Each week will focus on a different hand building technique: Pinch, coil, and slab. You will also learn various surface design methods to enhance your work. This class will give you a good foundation to start creating with clay off the wheel! Materials (clay, glaze and firing) $20 included.

Unleash your digital photo creativity. Learn how to take control of your camera settings and get the effect you want. This class covers the basic settings of your camera: Aperture, shutter speed, and ISO sensitivity. Each week we will explore an aspect of digital photography, learning what camera settings to use to get the effect you want, and practice putting it all together. There will be hands-on practice of each technique, plus a chance to view your pictures and get constructive comments. Students are encouraged to complete a fun assignment each week. Prerequisites: Digital camera basics or the ability to change shooting modes from Auto to Manual or other creative modes, ability to upload photos to a website from your computer. NOTE: You must have a DSLR (with removable lenses), your camera manual, and a tripod for this class.
