Paint Portland Head Light Step-by-Step

The Portland Head Light is one of the most photographed lighthouses, with good reason–it’s such a stunning vista. Even if you’ve never tried painting before, we show you the steps to paint this iconic landmark. Express your creativity in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Workshop includes all materials to make one 11×14 inch painting.  No discounts.

Picket Fence Fish

Join Mandy for a colorful evening of repurposing fence slats into funky fish. The instructor will provide the pre-cut and primed fence pieces. Students will be able to choose their own fish colors and be given instruction on painting them with a whimsical flair. Finished fish can be hung indoors. A simple spray sealer will make them outdoor ready! There is a $15 materials fee (for the first fish; $10 for the second) made payable to the instructor, which includes all paint and the fence slat (s). No discounts.

Quilting Modern Style for Beginner

Roll Your Own Sushi

Sushi is not only a favorite to eat but also an enjoyable and interactive way to make dinner!  The main component for great sushi starts with your ingredients:  quality gets you quality.  Learn the different types of sushi (maki, nigiri, futomaki) and techniques to integrate your favorite ingredients.  This hands-on cooking class will teach you how to create a variety of colorful and tasty sushi rolls. Don't worry, we won't be using raw fish, but we will use salmon, shrimp, cucumbers, scallions, avocados and other fresh ingredients. We'll have a complete meal with miso soup and steamed edamame with ginger ice cream for dessert. Everyone will go home with their own sushi rolling mat!  Food fee is included. No discounts.

Smudging & Cleansing Your Space

Smudging is a way to clear out stagnant and residual energies from your personal, living or work space. Have you ever walked into a room right after an argument and felt it “hanging in the air?” Have you heard the phrase, “You could have cut the air with a knife?” Ever feel great until you spend a few minutes listening to someone talk of their sorrows and when they walk away you feel terrible? Learn several ways to clear yourself and your space of unwanted energy. Some are done discretely and some are quite open – such as burning sage. In class we will do a few exercises, clear some energy, lift our vibration and have some fun! You will also receive your personal “toolkit” so you can get started clearing immediately. $10.00 for your toolkit paid to instructor at class. No discounts.
