Bus Driver Training On Road Driving

After completion of the above course, and/or once you have obtained your permit, you can register with Merrymeeting Adult Education to complete your on-road driving requirement. The cost for this is $285 which includes the use of a bus and an instructor for 10 hours. Eligible candidates will be reimbursed for the cost of this class if they are hired by MSAD #75 to be a school bus driver. No discounts. Once you have registered for this class you will be contacted by the instructor with a schedule.

Join New Ventures Maine in this introductory workshop to assess your career interests, gather information about potential career paths, and research your career(s) of choice, including pay, rate of job growth, potential employers, training required, etc. We will use ONET, an online website of the U.S. Department of Labor, to gather this information. Certified Nursing Assistant

Would you like to become a Certifi ed Nursing Assistant? Th isState-approved 180-hour course consists of classroom time, labpractice and clinical work. Time is spent on the aspects of caringfor patients and residents, diseases and disease processes, andanatomy and physiology. Clinical hours allow the student topractice what was learned in the classroom with actual handsonexperience. Classes are held two nights per week from 4to 9 p.m. for 19 weeks. During Clinical, hours are from 4 to9:30 p.m., and there are two Saturday sessions from 7 a.m. to3 p.m. Th e Certifi ed Nursing Assistant State Competency Testis administered upon completion of the course. Commercial Driving License Class B
with Maranacook Adult Education
In partnership with KVCC and SMCC, Maranacook AdultEducation will be off ering the CDL Class B training (dumptruck or bus) for free to 20 participants during the Januaryclass. Jan. 14-18, 21-25, Jan 28-Feb 1. Monday through Friday,6-9 p.m. Make-up days will be Feb. 4 and 5 for students whomiss class. February 6, 7 and 8 are extra snow days in case classis cancelled. Call the Maranacook Adult Education offi ce at685-4923, Ext. 1065, leave your name and number, statingyour interest. Th e course will prepare you to meet Maine DMV requirements and consists of 42 hours of classroom instructionto prepare you for the CDL license process, including writtenand skills exam. 30 hours of one-on-one road/range instructionwill prepare you for the road test. Driving time arrangedindividually with instructor. In addition to the cost of thecourse, a $35 permit fee, payable to the Secretary of State, is due by the second class. Medical Terminology A Word Association Approach
This course teaches medical terminology from an anatomical approach. Root terms are divided by each body system. The origin, a combined form, and an example of non-medical everyday usage is provided for each root term. Word Associations are provided as a learning tool. Unusual and interesting information is provided in regards to each term. Root terms are combined with prefixes and suffixes as your learning will culminate in the interpretation of several paragraphs of medical notes. Do you want to learn spreadsheet skills? In this class students learn Excel basics, entering and modifying data, navigating, moving, copying, formatting and printing. Students also learn to use formulas and functions. Come and learn some tricks to make the program easier. Prerequisite: Basic computer knowledge.
Microsoft Excel 2013, Intermediate

Build on the basics and learn more advanced topics to enhance your workplace skills. Topics covered are Excel lists, working with logical and database functions, and working with multiple worksheets and multiple workbooks. Students need to be familiar with Excel, formulas and functions and have taken an Excel Beginning class or have prior experience with Microsoft Excel.
