Certified Nursing Assistant

Would you like to become a Certified Nursing Assistant? This State-approved 180-hour course consists of classroom time, lab practice and clinical work. Time is spent on the aspects of caring for patients and residents, diseases and disease processes, and anatomy and physiology. Clinical hours allow the student to practice what was learned in the classroom with actual hands-on experience. The Certified Nursing Assistant State Competency Test is administered upon completion of the course. To register for this class, download the application from merrymeeting.org and return it to either the Topsham or Bath adult education office. Pharmacy Technician Certification with PTCB National Certification

This 14-week program prepares you to pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. You will also receive a Certificate of Completion through the Academy of Medical Professions. The program is active for ONE YEAR from the date of the student's activation, this allows our students the time to successfully complete the program and to review up until the day they sit for the National Certification Exam. Phlebotomy Technician with National Certification
Please note this course is provided by a vendor different from the class listed in the printed catalog. In this all-inclusive course, you will be able to perform basic phlebotomy procedures, evaluate patients for ability to withstand venipuncture procedure, explain the venipuncture procedure and answer patient questions, perform basic point of care testing, such as blood gludcose levels on patients, prepare blood, urine and other body fluid speciments for tesing according to established standards. Real Estate Sales Agent

The Sales Agent course covers all of the material required by Maine License Law and Rules to qualify for a Sales Agent license. The state of Maine requires that a person pass the 55-hour Sales Agent course and a state exam, both with a 75 percent or better, in order to qualify for a Sales Agent license. Course includes all materials. Class meets from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Brunswick High School, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays at Merrymeeting Adult Ed Center.
