Gentle Beginner Yoga, Session I

Yoga can help you feel better in your body by reducing stress, and improving strength, flexibility, and balance. This slow-flowing, gentle yoga class teaches two poses each week to explore in greater detail and offers yogic breathing and relaxation for stress reduction. Modifications are offered so you can feel your best in each pose. Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and bring an extra layer. Bring a yoga mat, if you have one. Meditation & Stress Management Session I

In addition to meditation and breathing techniques, you will be introduced to practical skills for managing and reducing stress. Please bring a cushion for the meditation. Ann Kimmage is a certified, experienced yoga and stress management instructor.

A strong body starts at the core. You’ve heard about it, you've seen it, now try it! This innovative workout uses a stability ball to help you burn calories, strengthen your core muscles, improve your balance, and tone your entire body. Class focuses on proper technique, all you need is a stability ball. Strudents bring their own, inflated ball to class. Make sure you use the proper size ball for your height.: 4’8”-5’3” use 55 cm, 5’4”-6’ use 65 cm, over 6’ use 75 cm. Bring an inflated ball to class.

Forest Bathing is also known as the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, being outdoors and discovering the beauty of nature in a mindful slow way to promote healing, reduced blood pressure and heart rate. Join a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide once a month for these easy short walks with stops for quiet guided meditation and awareness sessions. A closing tea ceremony will be held. The forest is calling you to heal yourself!
