Learn how to look healthier and more attractive by dressing for your eye, hair and skin coloring as well as for your face shape. In this one evening workshop each attendee will have the opportunity to be draped in different shades of colors to demonstrate how choosing the right shades impacts your appearance and compliments your skin. Participants will also learn their face shape and receive overall tips on how to choose glasses, hairstyles and necklines that are the most flattering for their features. Tell me about a meal you love. More intriguing and evocative than just a cookbook, you'll explore your own food history and share with others in this interactive workshop. We'll intertwine family recipes and/or personal favorites with memory to create a kitchen keepsake to keep or for gifting. Format and function, printing options, food photography, and much more will be covered. Bring your ideas and recipes, as well as tasting samples if you like! Please bring your laptop or writing implements to each class. Also bring 4 favorite recipes to the first class. Homemade snacks for tasting are welcome and encouraged! Recommended reading before class (not required, but helpful): Home Cooking AND More Home Cooking, by Laurie Colwin, any memoir or fiction you have enjoyed that contains recipes, any food columns you have saved over the years and want to share with the class. Karen Schneider is a professional writer, penning the Coastal Journal's popular “Cooking at the Cove” column, and has been a contributor to the Lewiston Sun Journal for 23 years.

Foraging, Session II

This 2.5-hour course will include walking the woods to find edible wild food along with detailed descriptions of habitat and structure of the plants. David has been foraging for over 50 years. He is a member of the Maine Mycological Society and the North American Mycological Assoc. Supplies to bring: Notebook and pen to take notes on your finds is very useful. A GPS if you have one, basket, mesh or other bags, wax or brown paper bags, knife, bug repellant and hat, water or other refreshment and a snack, gloves, waterproof boots (preferred), tall socks you can tuck in your pant legs. Optional: Vest with pockets or backpack, field guide, magnifying glass. No discounts.

Intro to Astrology

We will briefly discuss all the aspects of the cards including Numerology, Astrology, Symbology, and color themes throughout the cards and how they connect to the study of Qabala. Mushrooming, Session I

This course will include walking the woods to find edible mushrooms along with detailed descriptions of habitat and structure of mushrooms. David Spahr has collected edible mushrooms for 46 years. He is a member of the Maine Mycological Association and the North American Mycological Assoc. Every walk bears a different bounty depending on time of season, the weather and location. The majority of the mushrooms found in nature are often not edible, but learning this element is even more important than knowing which ones to eat. Required Supply List: Notebook and pen to take notes on your finds is very useful, sensible clothing & footwear, water, snack and bug repellent. A basket or bags, are optional. These hikes can be moderate difficulty. No discounts.
