Are you ready to be cool? If so, the Swing is a “must learn” dance. The dance was created by dance studios including the Arthur Murray dance studios in the 1940s, based on the Lindy Hop. For those who want to learn only Swing, we will be reviewing the foundation and adding more moves, including the triple step. It will be more technical than the foundation class.
Felt Making and Mixed Media Techniques

Mixed media artist Susan Mills leads you step-by-step through the process of wet felting while you create your own unique piece of felt art in this class. Learn to select wool, and with soap and water, make beautiful, seamless pieces such as handbags, vessels, or even mittens you will be proud to show off to your friends. You will also learn to incorporate found objects into your designs. Beginners are welcome, but some experience is helpful. Classes will be held at Susan Mills studio in Bowdoin. The class will begin with a centering process and communion with nature to inspire your work. From there, Susan will assist you with your project, whether it be a traditional felting arrangement or a non-traditional piece of artwork. Unleash your imagination! Tuition includes materials.
