Luminous Light Drawing

Participants will create luminous silhouette drawings using black paper and colored pencils. Trace your hand and/or bring an image with which you’d like to work. No drawing experience needed; all levels welcome. You'll be amazed at what you can do. All materials supplied. Materials fee of $6 included in the price of the course. No discounts.
Maine Driving Dynamics
Maine Driving Dynamics offers all drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving abilities. This five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. Our course is taught by a certified Maine Driving Dynamics instructor. Those completing the course receive a three-point credit on their driving record. Must attend both evenings Oct. 16 & 18. Those 15-64 years of age pay $40 and those 65+ pay $25 (Please call for discount.)

In this fun and interactive class we will discuss the members of your spiritual team. This team consists of Arch Angels, angels, spirit guides, and loved ones who have crossed over. Each week we will have an in depth conversation about each group, how they work with us, and how they offer help and guidance to us throughout our lives.

Take a walk the woods with David and find edible mushrooms along with detailed descriptions of habitat and structure of mushrooms. David Spahr has collected edible mushrooms for 46 years. He is a member of the Maine Mycological Association and the North American Mycological Assoc. Every walk bears a different bounty depending on time of season, the weather and location. The majority of the mushrooms found in nature are often not edible, but learning this element is even more important than knowing which ones to eat. Required Supply List: Notebook and pen to take notes on your finds is very useful, sensible clothing & footwear, water, snack and bug repellent. A basket or bags, are optional. Children 8 to 15 are allowed to register only with a parent who is also registered. These hikes can be moderately difficult. Please specify which DATE when registering. No Discounts.

My First Stranded Colorwork Cowl or Inspira Cowl

Learn the basics of stranded colorwork while creating a gorgeous cowl. Two different, color changing yarn colorways are used to create the WOW factor with only basic colorwork skills. Impress all your friends and get compliments from strangers who will assume you are a knitting genius! Skill prerequisites: know how to knit & purl, cast on, bind off, and knit in the round. Materials list: US 7 or 8 24” circular knitting needle and a stitch marker, two different worsted weight color changing yarn colorways with long repeats. Noro Kuryon or Plymouth Gina are good examples of this type of yarn. Yarn is available at Mother of Purl in Freeport, Halcyon in Bath, or online.
