Newport Mansions - Inspiration and Elegance
Join us for an exciting trip to the Newport mansions! Come see how the very wealthy lived and you'll find a world of exceptional elegance and inspiration in architecture, art, interior design and landscapes. Participants will explore 250 years of American history at three historic properties, located on 80 acres of gardens and parks. This is a journey back in time to one of America's Premier collections of historic house museums. We'll tour three of the mansions in Newport including The Breakers, The Elms and The Rosecliff. Our tour departs the Merrymeeting Adult Education parking lot at 6:00 am, will arrive in Newport at approximately 10:00am. Trip includes round-trip deluxe motor coach transportation, and admission to three Mansions including tour. There will be a break for lunch. Participants will be transported to the restaurant area of Newport. Restaurant information and Newport Mansion information will be given to the participants on the bus to read on the way down. The coach will stop for a dinner break on the return back to Maine in Saugus MA at either Kelley’s Roast Beef or Fuddruckers. (Meals are not included) No refunds after April 1st. No discounts
Trip to Boston's North End
with Chris Toy
Are you hungry for authentic Italian food? Do you feel like a leisurely train ride to and from Boston to feast on said authentic Italian food? Well then, we’re planning a trip to Boston’s north end with our celebrated chef, Chris Toy, and he will lead you on a merry adventure. Along with the aforementioned feasting, Chris will take you on a walking tour of several Boston landmarks: the Freedom Trail with Paul Revere’s house (fee for entry) and the Old North Church and the Haymarket, Boston Market and Quincy Market. The trip includes transportation via Amtrak. Wear comfortable shoes for this walking tour. Train departs Brunswick Station at 7:25 am, Portland departure 8:20 am, and return from Boston's North End Station 4:45 pm. No refunds. No Discounts.
