Boston Brew Tour

Entertaining! Educational! Exclusive! Join us for a fun day with City Brew Tours of Boston. Our comfortable motor coach will deliver us to three different Boston area breweries giving us the chance to sample up to 12 different local craft beers. Accompanied by our informative and entertaining beer guide experts, our visits will include VIP access to the breweries and an insider’s look at how they create their renowned beers. We’ll enjoy interactive beer history, awesome tastings and specialty treats at each location. Lunch, including wood-fired pizzas, sliders and wings will be part of a beer and food pairing session at Mystic Brewery. We’ll end the day with a beer Q&A followed by time on your own in the city. Christmas in Newport

Take a step back to the Gilded Age of the 20th century and enjoy the holiday season with a visit to Newport, Rhode Island. We will visit three decorated mansions and enjoy this seaside town’s festivities. Following lunch at Wright’s Farm, arrive in Newport to visit the Vanderbilt’s opulent Marble House. Early evening takes us to the elegantly decorated Breakers. Live music and refreshments will be the back-drop as guests enjoy the yuletide splendor of this 70-room mansion. Overnight accommodations are at the Hampton Inn and Suites in nearby Middletown. Sunday includes a tour of The Elms, all decked out with period ornaments. Lunch is served at the Viking Hotel accompanied by a Victorian Christmas Murder Mystery. On our way home, we will visit the Sandwich Glass Museum where they are celebrating the 10th annual Glassblower’s Christmas. Hundreds of unique glass ornaments, made by the region’s finest local and national glass artists, will adorn Christmas trees in the Contemporary Gallery. We’ll end the day with a 4-course dinner at the Hearth and Kettle in Weymouth. Downton Abbey in Boston

Highclere Castle fans unite! Downton Abbey: The Exhibition is coming to Boston for a limited engagement. Our trip is timed to coincide with the much anticipated fall release of Downton Abbey: The Movie. The exhibit will transport us to post Edwardian England where the series characters and settings come to life. Immerse yourself in the social history, costumes, culture and some of the show’s most memorable moments. We’ll plan a stop for lunch (on your own) in Portsmouth’s busy Market Square. The afternoon is devoted to the Downton Abbey exhibit followed by free time to enjoy early autumn in Boston. Choices include Boston Public Market, North End or Faneuil Hall. Island Excursion: Monhegan

For over 100 years, Monhegan has been home to a flourishing artist colony and fishing village. The island is yours to explore: hiking trails with endless views from picture-perfect cliffs, art galleries, beaches, a shipwreck along rocky shores, harbor views, museums, picturesque villages, and so much more! Enjoy a guided tour and tasting with local brewers at Monhegan Brewing Company. There’s no better way to kick off autumn in Maine! Included in cost: coach bus transportation, ferry passage, trail map of the island, tour and tasting at Monhegan Brewing Company, and a few island-made goodies to take home. Lunch not included. We will be using a coach bus for transportation, equipped with a restroom. Mt. Washington Valley: Foliage & Covered Bridges

Discover the hidden gems of Mt. Washington Valley during peak foliage season! Bring your sense of adventure as we explore historic covered bridges surrounded by quaint villages and untouched forests of reds, yellows, and oranges. Wind your way through rocky river valleys and mountain passes as we enjoy the vibrant colors that surround us in the White Mountains. Relax on the banks of the Swift River along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway with a picnic lunch provided by a local cafe while we admire the scenery. We’ll stop in Jackson Village in the heart of Mt. Washington Valley with covered bridges and mountain views all around us. After we’ve gone over the river and through the woods, we’ll visit North Conway Village. Check out local shops, general stores, cafes, galleries, restaurants, the historic train station and mountain views from the park. Included in the cost: lunch from a local cafe (drink, sandwich, chips & cookie) and entrance fees to the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. Dinner is not included. Pemaquid: Harvest & Hauntings

Discover the charms of the Pemaquid Peninsula, just in time for Halloween! Let’s stop at Fort William Henry and Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site, one of the “most haunted places in America,” and explore beautiful Pemaquid Beach in the gorgeous autumn weather! Next, we’ll pick up lunch (and homemade dessert!) from a local cafe and visit one of Maine’s most iconic (and most haunted!) lighthouses - Pemaquid Point Lighthouse! Let’s enjoy lunch on the rocky coast of Maine while admiring the view, and make our way to a local apple orchard and farm stand for a tour and cider tasting (and maybe a cider donut or two, just to fully embrace the flavors of fall!). After we’ve had our fill, we’ll head to downtown Damariscotta to explore the boutiques, cafes, the book shop, the general store, and the picturesque waterfront! Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the best of the Pemaquid Peninsula!
