Mt. Washington Valley: Foliage & Covered Bridges
with Kelli Park
Discover the hidden gems of Mt. Washington Valley during peak foliage season! Bring your sense of adventure as we explore historic covered bridges surrounded by quaint villages and untouched forests of reds, yellows, and oranges. Wind your way through rocky river valleys and mountain passes as we enjoy the vibrant colors that surround us in the White Mountains. Relax on the banks of the Swift River along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway with a picnic lunch provided by a local cafe while we admire the scenery. We’ll stop in Jackson Village in the heart of Mt. Washington Valley with covered bridges and mountain views all around us. After we’ve gone over the river and through the woods, we’ll visit North Conway Village. Check out local shops, general stores, cafes, galleries, restaurants, the historic train station and mountain views from the park. Included in the cost: lunch from a local cafe (drink, sandwich, chips & cookie) and entrance fees to the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. Dinner is not included. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring extra layers, comfortable walking shoes, water and snacks, if you choose. We will be using a coach bus for transportation, equipped with a restroom. This trip is family-friendly. Please call RSU 5 Adult & Community Education at 865-6171 to register.
