Pemaquid: Harvest & Hauntings
with Kelli Park
Discover the charms of the Pemaquid Peninsula, just in time for Halloween! Let’s stop at Fort William Henry and Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site, one of the “most haunted places in America,” and explore beautiful Pemaquid Beach in the gorgeous autumn weather! Next, we’ll pick up lunch (and homemade dessert!) from a local cafe and visit one of Maine’s most iconic (and most haunted!) lighthouses - Pemaquid Point Lighthouse! Let’s enjoy lunch on the rocky coast of Maine while admiring the view, and make our way to a local apple orchard and farm stand for a tour and cider tasting (and maybe a cider donut or two, just to fully embrace the flavors of fall!). After we’ve had our fill, we’ll head to downtown Damariscotta to explore the boutiques, cafes, the book shop, the general store, and the picturesque waterfront! Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the best of the Pemaquid Peninsula! Included in cost: entrance fees, lunch from a local cafe (sandwich, chips, drink & dessert), cider tour and tasting with one homemade donut. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring extra layers, comfortable walking shoes, water and snacks, if you choose. We will be using a coach bus for transportation, equipped with a restroom. This trip is family-friendly. Please call RSU 5 Adult & Community Education at 865-6171 to register.
