Pierced Paper Lampshades

Cutting lampshades is a very old New England art, originally done on tin and copper in the early 1900s. You’ll make a pierced paper lampshade and learn how to cut an arc; cut, pierce, and watercolor a design; then assemble your lampshade. Finish your unique creation with grosgrain ribbon and velvet. The instructor Penny Hartwell will have plenty of designs to choose from. An art supply list will be provided.
