This course is an introduction to ‘strange tale’ writer Robert Aickman. Considered a master of strange and dark storytelling, Aickman wrote 48 short stories in his life. The Wine-Dark Sea is a reprint of a collection of short stories by Aickman. In this course, we will discuss several of these short stories, focusing on one each week. Participants will need to purchase their own copy of the anthology before class starts. You will need to come to class each week prepared to talk about the assigned story.
