Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education

Line, shape, value, texture, color, space, and form are the fundamentals of art. In this class we’ll look at each. Studio work will focus on exploring each concept individually, and as they inform each other. Class will be a combination of drawing, collage, and painting. You’ll come away with some drawing skills, gain exposure to color mixing and have fun learning, or getting back to, the fundamentals. Beginners to art, as well as those with some exposure, will have room for growth and discovery.
