Have you ever heard ergonomics referred to as human factors? Ergonomics has become a slang word used in everyday discussions and workplaces to mean workstations, chairs, and computer equipment. More than the computer screens, mice and computer chairs, ergonomics, is the interaction of the human body with the devices we use (cooking utensils, gardening tools, hobby devices, etc.). According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary the definition of ergonomics is: an applied science concerned with designing and arranging things people use so that the people and things interact most efficiently and safely.
