Intro to Ukulele
with Nina Andersen
$90
The ukulele is one of the easiest ways to try making music for the first time, or learn a new instrument. In this class we’ll start with 4-5 basic chords that can be used to play lots of popular and familiar tunes and build from there. We’ll cover how to tune, strum and sing along. No prior musical experience required and all levels are welcome! Instructor Nina Andersen has 30 years of experience facilitating and supporting adults making music at whatever level they can. She is the Founder and Music Director of the Southern Maine New Horizons Band, Music Director of the New England Adult Music Camp and the Associate Conductor of the Harpswell Concert Band. She was also the Music Director of the Maine Pops Concert Band from 1997-2017. This program will run out of Bowdoin College, Gibson Hall, Room 10. *No Class: 10/13.
