Stacking Ring Workshop

Then you'll be guided through the basics of soldering, shaping, texturing, and polishing your rings to make a custom stack that’s uniquely yours. No experience needed—just come ready to create!
Raku Firing
with Turning Arts Studio
In this two-part workshop, you’ll explore the dramatic and hands-on process of raku firing. In Part 1, you’ll sculpt a piece in clay and watch a live raku firing demo. Three weeks later in Part 2, you’ll glaze and fire your own work using the raku method—removing red-hot pieces from the kiln and placing them into combustibles for stunning, unpredictable results. No experience necessary. All tools and materials provided. $20 materials fee payable to the instructor. This class is 2 sessions. Millefiori Clay Coasters

Explore the classic Italian art of Millefiori, “a thousand flowers”, and create a set of stunning polymer clay coasters. Learn how to construct clay canes to create the unique and colorful tiles that will form your coasters. Your coasters will be baked and ready to use! An $18 materials fee is due at the first class.
Ultimate Beginner Watercolor: Level 1
with Catherine Scanlon
In this 2 day class, you'll learn everything you need to know to get started with watercolor painting. We will have an in-depth conversation about paper and pads, paint, palettes, and brushes. After the materials lecture, we'll jump right in and make a color chart, practice mixing paint and our brush strokes. After a quick review on the second day, you'll have the opportunity to paint a custom illustration created by Catherine and printed on watercolor paper. You'll leave this short, but sweet class with enough experience and knowledge to know if investing in the materials to paint with watercolor is something you are interested in doing. All materials provided. *A $20 materials fee to be paid to the instructor at the first class.
Explorations in World Building

Every story needs a world to live in. This course explores the art of world-building, imagining other realms. Students will create maps, develop histories, and imagine cultures that make fictional universes feel alive. Hands-on projects will blend storytelling, design, illustration, and digital media, giving you tools to construct immersive environments for narratives, animation, illustration, interactive media, role-playing, or your own joy of playing with imagination.
Painting the Landscape: Trees

In this class, open to all levels, students will learn to paint trees with strong form, texture, and movement. We’ll study values, color, and tree forms to capture depth and character. Open to all paint mediums. Upon registration a simple list of materials will be sent out.
Knife and Tool Sharpening
with Zack Rouda
Learn how to sharpen knives, axes, pruners, scissors, and other blade tools. Bring your own dull tools that need to be touched up, or come to practice sharpening on some of our tools and stones. We'll cover the basic theory behind sharpening edge tools, and practice using a variety of sharpening stones. Whetstones will also be available for purchase. *Program includes all required tools and materials.
Build a Berry Bowl
with Turning Arts Studio
Create a beautifully functional berry bowl just in time for strawberry season. We’ll explore hand-building techniques using slabs and coils, then shape and perforate the form so your freshly picked berries can rinse and drain right in the bowl. Add surface design with texture and underglaze to make it unmistakably yours. Glazing will be done later by Janna, and will be ready to pick up two weeks later. All materials included; $20 materials fee payable to the instructor. No experience necessary.
