Make Your Own Potato Candy (FF)

Ages: 6 - 17
In this special family session, children ages 6+ and their adults will pair up and get hands-on making Needhams, Maine’s iconic potato candy! Learn the story behind this sweet treat, make your own batch with Maine-grown potatoes, and explore creative flavor twists. Everyone leaves with recipes and handmade Needhams to share. All supplies provided. Presented by Liz Gross of Maine Tasting Center. *This is a Family-Friendly program open only to adults with minors. Children must have at least one adult registered with them.
World Builders Camp: Design Your Own Universe

We’ve got a masterpiece lineup for artsy projects to keep the mini-me’s entertained and engaged all week. Does your school have art projects that involve getting messy with air dry clay, working with tumbled pottery and sea glass and throwing in a little string art! Think mod podge cup- string lights and the most epic pet portrait painting party ever! Buckle up for a week of paint, nails and glue - oh my! Ages 10-14.
Paint Night: The Rooster

State Park Sketchbook: Reid State Park

Bring your favorite art supplies and join us to draw or paint the view at one of Maine's fabulous state parks. Pack a lunch, bring your sunblock and bugspray, and spend a day communing with nature and fellow artists. All experience levels encouraged. Guidance and feedback are provided as needed. At the end of our visit we meet up to share results with the group. Participants meet at the park (admission is NOT included in fee).
Ultimate Beginner Watercolor: Level 2
with Catherine Scanlon
In Level 2 Ultimate Watercolor class, you will continue your watercolor journey by building on what you learned in Level 1. After a quick review of color mixing and texture techniques that were covered in Level 1, we'll jump right in to learn a few more advanced techniques to fill your knowledge toolbox. The illustrations you will receive are printed on watercolor paper and encourage you to utilize all the painting techniques you've learned so far, while giving you the confidence you need to apply paint to paper and learn about water and paint ratios. You'll leave this short, but sweet class with an expanded knowledge and plenty of practice painting in watercolor, plus you'll have more pages to work on after the class ends. All materials provided. *There is a $25 materials fee (payable to the instructor) for this class that covers paint, 16 watercolor sheets that include custom illustrations, experiment sheets and color charts that can be bound into a book, as well as use of Princeton Select Watercolor brushes.
