Pocket Accordion Book (FF)
with Joelle Webber
Ages: 6 - 17
Create a book that can be filled with your favorite recipes, postcards, tea bags, poems or other journaling and gift ideas. Learn to use basic book binding tools and techniques, including some collage fun. Tools and materials provided. A materials fee of $10 payable to the instructor is due on the first night (fee is per registrant). *This is a Family-Friendly program open only to adults with minors. Children must have at least one adult registered with them.
Painting In The Wild
with Ed Higgins
This year, Ed Higgins’ plein air painting class is not media dependent. You may choose to work in oil, acrylics, watercolor, or pastel. Getting outside and painting from nature is our mission, choice of media is up to you and what you feel like working with on a particular day. We will meet at various scenic locations in and around the midcoast. The instructor will send the group an email with the meet up location prior to each class. In case of bad weather, we will meet at an indoor location. There is no set materials list. If you have any questions, contact the instructor directly at ed_higgins@icloud.com.
Tumbled Seaglass & Broken Pottery (FF)

Get creative in this whimsical class, blending tumbled glass and pottery. We have lots of glass and pottery to choose from, come join us for a fun night out and create a keepsake and simply indulge in this therapeutic artistic process. Abstract Studio: Collage & Frottage

In the summer of 2026, the abstract atelier will be exploring collage and frottage. Collage is a process of applying cut or torn paper, text, or imagery to a surface; and frottage is a technique of rubbing media on top of paper which has been placed over an uneven surface. Sketching in the Wild

The plein air sketching class this summer is not media dependent. Working in your field journal or sketchbook, you may use pencil, ink, watercolor, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, or all of the above. Maine’s Heritage Beans & Beanhole Suppers

Taste your way through Maine’s heritage beans - like Jacob’s Cattle, Cranberry, and Marfax - in this tasting and lecture exploring traditional recipes, beanhole supper history, and the farmers keeping these heirloom varieties alive today. Learn what makes each bean unique and enjoy a hearty sample of Maine Tasting Center’s own beanhole-style beans. Presented by Sara Gross of Maine Tasting Center.
State Park Sketchbook: Wolfe's Neck State Park

Bring your favorite art supplies and join us to draw or paint the view at one of Maine's fabulous state parks. Pack a lunch, bring your sunblock and bugspray, and spend a day communing with nature and fellow artists. All experience levels encouraged. Guidance and feedback are provided as needed. At the end of our visit we meet up to share results with the group. Participants meet at the park (admission is NOT included in fee).
Life Drawing Studio: Summer Edition
with Ed Higgins
Students will be working from live (clothed) models to develop and reinforce drawing skills related to the human form. Instructor Ed Higgins will provide one on one coaching and assistance Medium will be charcoal and Conté crayon. You will also need large pads of newsprint (18 x 24), kneaded erasers, and an easel (optional). Students are encouraged to tip the model at the end of each class. *No Class: 7/31.
