MEDITATION AND STRESS MANAGEMENT

This class will assist you in establishing a meditation practice and introduce you to practical mindfulness practices you can resort to whenever you feel stressed out. Taught in an informal, personalized, manner by a certified stress management and yoga instructor with a twenty-year meditation practice. Improv for Healing the Heart

Create connection to yourself and to others through improvisational theater exercises led by a trained and experienced actor and theater educator. We will learn the “rules” of improv technique, like the practice of saying “Yes, And..”! We will share laughter and enjoy surprises while exploring play, using our imagination and collaborating with others. Improv is a wonderful tool for toning the mind and body. Practice the art of performing through intuitive play! Elise Voigt is an actor and theater educator with over 20 years of experience. Mini-Retreat: Guided Meditations For Compassion

Compassion meditation helps to bring more understanding and empathy toward others and yourself. Join this 2-hour mini-retreat to explore variations of Loving-Kindness meditation and a compassion practice which can be integrated informally into daily life. We will close with a brief period of discussion. All levels of experience are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat and a journal. Facilitator: Heather Shaughnessy-Cato.
